About

Ryan Ebert was born and raised in Friendship, Wisconsin. He spent a lot of time performing in plays, musicals, and skits for both his high school and a local community theater. He then moved to Milwaukee for a year to attend business school. That didn’t work out, so he moved to Chicago to perform stand-up and train at The Second City Training Center. He moved through the improv program and won a stand-up open mic at ComedySportz.

He then decided to take the sketch writing program at the SCTC. That’s where he found his true calling. After getting into the advanced writing program, he co-wrote and assistant directed a sold-out sketch revue at The Second City’s famed de Maat Studio Theater. From there, he enrolled at Columbia College Chicago to pursue a Bachelors in television writing. There, he would write the pilot episode for the web series “666 River’s Edge”, and a short film entitled “Worth It”, both of which received favorable reviews.

Ryan has a B.A. in Screenwriting for Television from Columbia College Hollywood and resides in Burbank, CA. He hopes to write and star in a comedy series on any network that would let him. For now, he is working on developing several projects and is looking forward to being in a real writer’s room one day.
